UberCart

Hi Lynn,

Setting up Drupal 6 and UberCart 2.2 for the first time. Having a real challenge getting my head around the Conditional Actions necessary to get USPS shipping quotes to work. I took a look at your storefront, but it doesn't seem to be configured enough to generate a quote. I am seeing the same error on my site as I saw on yours. Can you clue me in on what conditions will make the quote work? Or how to troubleshoot the issue?

I have enabled the error logging features for the shipping quotes module but don't get the generated XML error copy that I see in the drupal and ubercart forums. I don't think my quote request is even getting out of my site, but can't find a way to confirm this.

Secondarily, I noticed that your shop generated sales tax for my cart even though I have not given you an address to base it on. How does that happen?

Thanks for the site. Looking forward to getting deeper into your book.

Mark Harrison

I found some inconsistencies

I found some inconsistencies within my database tables so I turned off the shipping modules and emptied the tables. After reenabling them, I reconfigured the shipping settings and the product shipping settings and this got the quotes working.

Still have an issue in getting an accurate quote for "priority mail" on a multi-item order. This calculation seems to be wrong, approx. half as low as it should be. Any advice?

Mark, I'll dig around when I

Mark, I'll dig around when I get some time, but I'm not going to be much help with some of the Ubercart specifics. I highly suggest you ask this question on the drupal.org forums, where you'll find some Ubercart experts.
