Suggest you read the following if you are getting this problem...

I have created a database on my xampp server, but when I come to install Drupal 6.1.5, I cannot get past this screen.

Instructions say to rename default.settings.php to settings.php - this appears to be the wrong action - (please confirm and add note to correct for next edition) no question DFD is a GREAT book!

I was going to post some errata I think I found.

I started reading the book but am not thru yet. I will post as I find them.

One very important thing is:
"rename default.settings.php to settings.php"

yes, but you first have to copy it and then rename the copy, because you need BOTH files in the folder. :-)
