Drupal for Dummies
Browsed it in the library
They had 2 copies on the shelf.
I quickly skimmed it (well, mainly the comics at the start of each part), but it looked good. One or two explanations seemed straight from geek heaven though, ie a tersely written manual, so rewrites with more simple, fresh and imaginative (should I say funny?) explanations are always worth attempting, Lynn.
I love Dummies books when they hit the right balance of informal simple conversational style, with clever imaginative (did I mention that before? :) ) explanations.
ps. All legislation should be written in "dummy-speak" too.

How I discovered Drupal for Dummies
I was searching the web for reviews of reliable Drupal oriented web hosts. I went to the source, drupal.org, and the web host greengeeks.com made the cut. I went to their site, and discovered Drupal for Dummies there. Since the book uses greengeeks for examples, I found the two to be a perfect match for getting started on my first Drupal web project, which has a non-Drupal prototype at brookhaven30319.com. I'm buying the book and signing up for hosting at greengeeks.com today.
PS: Lynn, I love your Head First SQL book!

Thanks for letting me know
Thanks for letting me know how you found your way here. Green Geeks are really doing their best to build up a base of Drupal users, so I think you'll be happy with your choice.
This book is nothing like HFSQL, of course, but then not much is. :)
Commision
They ought to provide you a commision I signed up too as a result of your book.
